The new era of the Greek Financial Sector - Transition to a stable, solid & forward-looking economy

The Hellenic Bank Association and the Athens Exchange are hosting an event entitled “The new era of the Greek Financial Sector” in London on September 24, 2019, on the sidelines of the international conference Sibos 2019.

 

 

The event will be moderated by Thomson Reuters and will include speeches, presentations and discussion panels. The event agenda includes the following:  

  • “Greece’s Economic Outlook”, a macro approach on the Greek economy and analysis of specific sectors of the economy
  • “Re-energizing growth in Greece”, discussion about the privatization program, the trade facilities tools and the financing and credits constraints Greek Banks are facing
  •  “Accelerating Greece & Embracing New Technologies”, will be focusing on the advances of the financial sector in the digital space

European Money Week 2019 – Second National Competition EMQ 2019 – Greece

The Hellenic Bank Association (HBA) participates for a fifth consecutive year with relevant activities in the "European Money Week" of the European Banking Federation. 

In this context, the second National Competition for the European Money Quiz was successfully completed yesterday, March 27th. The competition was conducted online among 78 classes from 28 Gymnasiums in Greece, coming from Alexandroupoli, Athens, Chania, Galaxidi, Iraklion Crete, Ioannina, Karditsa, Kilkis, Larissa, Mytilene, Nafpaktos, Pyrgos Ilias, Rethymnon, Sikinos, Thessaloniki and Tripoli.

Series of meetings of the Hellenic Banking Association in Brussels

The Chairman of the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA) Board of Directors, Mr. Nikolaos Karamouzis, the Vice-Chairmen Mr. Georgios Handjinicolaou, Mr. Costas Michaelides, Mr. Vasileios Rapanos and the Secretary General of the HBA, Mrs. Charoula Apalagaki, held this year a series of meetings with EU Commissioners and senior officials.
